Artlink West Yorkshire is a community arts organisation
specialising in arts and health initiatives.
We have undertaken great steps in the past fourteen years, becoming an Art Council National Portfolio organisation in 2012 and maintaining this status to date. We have also developed significant large-scale projects since 2012 and are currently in our fourth year of work with adults with learning and physical disabilities, mental health issues and dementia funded through Big Lottery Grant, Reaching Communities Fund. A significant development has been our collaboration with Dr Anni Raw in developing ethnographic methods of evaluation.
We have continued to work with a vast cross section of groups including: women within the criminal justice system, mental health service users, young offenders, adults with dementia, and people living with eating disorders.
We are governed by a management committee of six people and have four members of staff, two of whom are full time. We employ professional freelance artists to deliver our projects. We pride ourselves in providing high quality artistic initiatives for people who are facing challenges in their lives.
I am very proud of what we have achieved as a team over the years and look forward to developing our vision for the future!
