This was an incredibly busy time for Get Started as we neared the end of this three year project. During this time, we completed projects with Bramley Fulfilling Lives together with Bramley Primary School. This culminated in a celebration event in December which was attended by Rachel Reeves MP.
Our work at Calverlands Day Centre was completed, this enabled us to work together with adults with learning disabilities and dementia. A number of major breakthroughs happened with this work during this time. Examples include, staff learning better and more conducive ways of engaging with some of the people they care for who live with dementia as well as building creative activities into their daily work.
We also continued to develop our work with LiLAC the Progress Housing Group forum. Throughout December 2016 and January 2017, the group have their work exhibited at Seven Arts in Chapel Allerton. This is a central hub for creatives within Leeds and we are very proud that the work of LiLAC forms a major centre piece here.
