Artlink West Yorkshire are acting as the Creative Partner for three Creative Partnership Schools – East SILC, Moortown and Oakwood Primary. Two of these schools are Enquiry schools and are in the middle of their delivery.
The first of these is the East SILC who are working with Barney George in four locations across the city providing education for young people who cannot attend school due to various emotional and physical barriers. These locations are the Grafton Learning Centre, the LGI, St James Hospital and Little Woodhouse Hall. This project will culminate with a week-long residency from July 13th at the Grafton Centre.
The second is Moortown Primary school who are working with Balbir Singh to exploring maths through Indian dance.
The third school is a Change School – Oakwood Primary School who are in the final stages of project planning and will work with Bradford Community Broadcasting on setting up a mobile radio station in the school. They will use the radio to report back on new cross-curricular approaches to learning in the school as well as issues and ideas as raised by the children. Artlink Projects – Creative Partnerships
