A Thousand Paper Cranes

Artlink has begun the 3 – year project working with patients from The Regional Centre for Eating Disorders based at Seacroft Hospital. The first 10-week project has now been completed and we’re half way through the second 10-week block of work with artists Rozi Fuller and Barney George. The first project worked with patients to explore a whole range of artistic media culminating in an animation of the work on completion. The second project has developed this work further, patients are now uploading their work to Artlink’s blog, sharing with those outside of the ward. Occupational Therapist Bernadette Maclagan commented that the project had many positive benefits to the patients who were involved, including engaging patients with Occupational Flow. We look forward to developing this project over the forthcoming years. Comic Relief – Young People’s Mental Health.
